Stand a worm upright and shake it where bass feed
Last Updated: June 2026
The Shaky Head is a round-ball or stand-up jig head with a long finesse worm threaded straight on it. Unlike a Texas Rig that lies on its side, the round ball causes the worm to stand nearly vertical on the bottom, waving and quivering with any rod movement. It's one of the most effective rigs for dragging across hard bottom, rock transitions, and any structure where fish are feeding down and need a subtle, lifelike presentation.
